Russborough House
Said to be the longest house in Ireland, the Palladian-style Russborough House was designed by Richard Cassels for James Leeson, the 1st Earl of Milltown between 1741 and 1745. More recently it was the home of diamond mine owner Sir Alfred Beit. The Beit art collection which was donated to the Irish State includes works by Goya, Vermeer, Peter Paul Rubens and Gainsborough.
