An intimate and stylish theatre, nestled away on the second floor of Bewley’s famous Grafton Street Café, there is no better way to enjoy the work of some of Ireland 's leading theatrical talents than up-close-and-personal at one of the lunchtime performances!
Since opening its doors in 1999, Bewley's Cafe Theatre has emerged as Ireland's foremost venue for lunchtime drama and has an International reputation for innovation and excellence, (Irish Times Judges' Special Award Winner) while maintaining a uniquely Irish and personal touch.
The repertoire ranges from classic one-acts showcasing the wit of Shaw, Wilde and O'Casey to the very best of new Irish writing.
The programme has a strong emphasis on comedy and theatricality and a visit is guaranteed to brighten up any afternoon.
At night the theatre turns into one of the city's most exciting venues for music and comedy. An intimate venue, perfect for Jazz, Cabaret or acoustic performances, acts in the past year alone include Declan O'Rourke, Des Bishop, Lisa O'Neill, Karen Egan, Jinx Lennon, Honor Heffernan and many, many more!
