Yeats Society Sligo
Founded in 1958, the Yeats Society commemorates the Nobel prize winning Anglo-Irish poet, William Butler Yeats (1865-1939), celebrates his poetry, writings and his talented family members especially his brother Jack B. Yeats. The society is based at the Yeats Memorial Building, the administrative centre of the society, which contains a photographic exhibition, art gallery and café. The library provides audio-visual material and books for students and scholars of Yeats who congregate for the annual Yeats Summer School.
