Fox's Lane Folk Museum
The Fox's Lane Folk Museum is a private museum that follows the development of household appliances before the invention and wider availability of electricity, modern plumbing and automobiles. A typical period kitchen is recreated. Hundreds of gadgets are exhibited which were used between the late 1800s and the 1950s. Among them are washing machines, manually operated vaccum cleaners, sewing machines from the 1860s, early gramophones and the Eddison Phonograph. Other displays include telephones, radios, typewriters, cooking utensils, glove stretchers, hat irons and many more curiosities.
