Thomas Dillon's Claddagh Gold Museum

Thomas Dillon's Claddagh Gold established in 1750 in Galway city claim to be the original makers of gold Claddagh rings. There is a long history of jewellery making in the city. The rings remain highly popular with their distinctive design and association with romantic love. The handmade rings made in the work shop are stamped with a hallmark by the Irish Assay Office located in Dublin Castle.
