Annaduff
Annaduff - Eanach Dubh, "Black Marsh"
This parish is situated partly in the barony of Leitrim, partly in that of Mohill and in the County of Leitrim. It is bounded on the North by the Parish of Kiltoghert, East by the Parish of Mohill, South and West by County Longford and Roscommon and by the River Shannon.
The parish is composed of undulating hills highly fertile and cultivated with bogs in the vallies. The River Shannon is navigable for its length along the Western boundary of the parish, it overflows its banks, and does great damage to the lands in the vicinity.
