At the junction of the Clonmel-Cappoquin roads, 2 ½ miles north-west of Dungarvan, stands the limestone monument commemorating the celebrated greyhound, "Master McGrath."
Master McGrath died on Christmas Eve, 1871, and a Memorial was erected at his birthplace (Colligan) in 1888. Some years later it was removed to its present more conspicuous position.
