Ribworth (Plantago lanceolata): A wild flowering plant found in grassy areas. Its flowers, which come out between April and August, are in the form of a dense, dark and many flowered head, well above the leaves. Its leaves are narrow and oval in shape and they form an upright rosette growing from teh base of the plant. Each leaf has three to five veins running up each leaf and they are covered in silky hairs. It has medicinal uses, usually as in the form of a salve.
