The Carlow Sentinel was first published by Henry Malcomson in Tullow Street, it later moved to Dublin Street and afterwards to Court Place where it was owned by T.H. Carroll. Its last proprietor was George Langran. It was unionist and conservative in bias.

Graiguenamanagh Bridge
Graiguenamanagh Bridge
Graiguenamanagh Bridge was built circa 1765 to a design attributed to George Semple. It links Tinnehinch on the County Carlow side of the river Barrow with the village of Graiguenamanagh in County Kilkenny. The spandrels between the arches are decorated in the palladian style. There was a timber bridge here before this current stone bridge.
