Arthur McMorrough Kavanagh
Arthur McMorrough Kavanagh
Arthur McMorrough Kavanagh was born in 1831 without limbs. He was the fourth child of Sir Thomas and Lady Harriet Kavanagh of Borris House. He travelled extensively in India, Russia and Persia in early life. He was elected an M.P. for County Wexford in 1866-1868 and for County Carlow 1868-1880. He supported and managed the railway from Borris to Bagenalstown. He died in Chelsea, London on Christmas Day, 1889 and is buried in Borris, County Carlow.
