Killiney till: Part of the cliff near Killiney Dart Station, Co. Dublin.
This cliff is composed of boulder clay or till that dates from the last Ice Age. The material making up the cliff is a mix of little-sorted clay, sand and boulders that was deposited here by ice moving down the Irish Sea. Cliffs with a similar composition, and just as liable to erosion, can be found north of Greystones, Co. Wicklow, and along parts of the coastline of County Wexford.

Arnold Horner author of Physical Landscape
Dr Arnold Horner is a senior lecturer in the School of Geography, Planning and Environmental Policy at University College Dublin. He took his B.A. in Natural Sciences, focusing on Geography and Geology, at Trinity College Dublin. He later taught at the Department of Geography, University of Liverpool. Dr Horner has a long-time interest in the Geography of Ireland. He has a particular interest in the history of cartography in Ireland. At UCD, Dr Horner teaches courses on the human geography of global contrasts, Europe, and cartographic ideas.

Aerial Ropeway and Screens, Deerpark, Castlecomer.The Deerpark depot was fed by an aerial ropeway from collieries at Rock, Vera and Skehana.The coal was carried across the hills in large buckets on strong steel ropes.

Train tracks and trams at Deerpark, Castlecomer. The train track was laid by hand mostly on level ground which was very difficult because of the terrain.Iron tracks were bolted on to wooden sleepers made of oak.
