This is the early Townland Valuation and is distinct from Griffith's Primary Valuation of Tenements, 1853. The parish of Painestown consisted of the following townlands - Aughanure, Bestfield, Newacre, Newgarden and Oak Park(Painestown). Parish of Tullowmagimma consisted of Ballyloo, Ballyryan, Castletown, Kilballyhue, Knockbower, Linkardstown, Rathcrogue and Tinriland. Urglin consisted Ballylennon, Ballynakillbeg, Ballyvergal, Bennekerry, Burtonhall Demense, Gorteengrone, Johnstown, Kernanstown, Killyshane, Knockarda and Urglin(Rutland)

Envelope addressed to Clerk of Workhouse E.L. Jameson. It features postmark Fenagh, Bagnalstown dated April 8th 1874 and one from Carlow dated April 9th. The envelope is stamped with stamp with Queen Victoria’s head with a denomination of one penny.
