North Tipperary Biodiversity Plan 2012

North Tipperary County Council are preparing a Biodiversity Plan for the county. The main aims of this plan will be to protect and enhance the rich natural heritage of North Tipperary, and to raise awareness of what biodiversity is and why it is so important.
Biodiversity is another word for nature and wildlife. It also refers to the places where plants and animals live (habitats) and the complex web of life
The success of a County Biodiversity Plan depends on the input and involvement of all sectors of society.
Have your say!
Do you know of areas that are particularly important for nature or wildlife in North Tipperary?                   Are there any plants or animals that you think are important because they are rare or under threat?
What biodiversity projects or actions would you like to see running in the county?
What do you think the main threats to nature and wildlife in the county are?
Are you involved in any projects that have something to do with nature and wildlife?
