From its inception, Mayo County Library has continually acquired material of local interest - books, manuscripts, journals, newspapers, photographs, maps, CD-rom, microfilm etc. The result is an extremely comprehensive collection backed up by the latest in visual, audio visual and copying equipment. Examples of the archival material stored here are: The Wynne Photographic Archive, local newspapers on microfilm, Tithe Applotment Books, Griffith's Valuation, census returns and the Schools' Folklore Collection 1937-38.
