Copyright John JoyceCharles Darwin, was a famous scientist who studied barnacles. Some Historians, (people who find out about the past), thought that Charles studied barnacles to avoid doing his more serious work.
However his friend Joseph Dalton Hooker thought it was a good idea for Charles to study barnacles as he would be able to understand life better. A few years later, Charles wrote a famous book about how life developed on earth.
