In the Clink!
Release, or 'tigh', is played by groups of six to ten children divided into two groups. One group is called the 'jailers'. The 'jail' might be a large entrance to a business premises or an area chalked on the ground or on a wall.
One or two jailers guard the jail, while the others go searching for members of the other group, who would hide in doorways and streets nearby.
If a child is caught, she is brought to jail and kept there. She can be released only if one of her group can sneak past the jailers unnoticed and touch his comrade shouting, 'Release!'.
The game continues until the jailers have caught all the members of the other group.
