What To Do
Finding out about our local place and how it looked in the past is often very interesting. In 1943 and 1944, a national survey of every county in Ireland was carried out by the Irish Tourist Association.
The results of this survey provide us with a unique glimpse of what Ireland was like at the time. They can also give us an insight into how the appearance of our landscape has changed.
Here we will look at what the survey tells us about Co. Limerick during the 1940s.
