Who is Edmund Rice?

Edmund Ignatius Rice is remembered because he dedicated much of his life to the impoverished boys of Waterford City.

After a happy childhood and a successful early career as a merchant, personal tragedy befell Edmund.

This changed his perspective on life. He decided to devote himself to helping the lives of young Waterford City boys through education.
