The clothes people wear on special occasions can tell us other things about them. Sometimes we can know a lot about people's religious beliefs and about their customs.

We can tell when a young girl is making her First Holy Communion because she wears a beautiful white dress. Also we can often tell when a woman follows the Islamic tradition because she covers her face with a veil. Many Jewish men wear head coverings and most men from the Sikh religion have beards and wear turbans. Scottish men often wear a kilt for special occasions.
