Some people wear uniforms so that other people know what job they do.
A Garda wears a navy coloured uniform. Now everyone knows that they are Gardaí and so they can ask them for help.
Other people wear a uniform to help them do their job.
A Lollipop person wears a bright yellow coat. People in cars can see the yellow coat a long way away, even in the dark!
This means that children can be helped to cross the road safely.
