Tullow Courthouse
Tullow Courthouse is situated in Barrack Street. It was built circa 1825. It is a three-bay, two storey late Georgian structure. The first floor features a pediment, beneath this are three semicircular windows overlooking the street. Each window has modiating glazing bars. The double height courtroom has a large swept-arched window with multiple panes. It also has timber parnelled screens and balustrades. There are galleries on both sides of the room. At the rear of the building is an office with a double vaulted ceiling. A wooden staircase leads from the small entrance hall to the first floor. The front door openings have granite surrounds. The back elevation also features decorative work in granite.
