The Fairy Dollies

There is a fort in the field at Pallas, not far from Portlaoighise. A good many years ago, three little children- two boys and a girl- were picking primroses along the lane adjoining the field. They were pleased and surprised to see two brightly dressed dollies on the ditch, and ran eagerly to pick them up. As they came near them, the dollies jumped over the hedge, and disappeared into the fort.
