The Mysterious Fire
Two men were out looking for rabbits along the Esker near Acragar, about two miles from Mountmellick. One of them looked over his shoulder and saw a bright fire burning on the side of the slope, with a group of people sitting round it. He and his companions went back to see who these people were, and when they reached the spot there was no one there, nor was there any fire.
They then walked away, and when some distance from the slope they looked back and saw again a bright fire and a group of people sitting round it.
