IN THE CASUALTY LISTS.
In the casualty lists this week the names of the following soldiers appeared :- Pte. J. O'Brien, Waterford, York and Lancaster Regiment (20794), and Lee-Corporal G . Forbes, Sherwoods, Waterford, 13106.
CONGRATULATIONS.
We offer our congratulations to Lance-Corporal John Duggan, Royal Engineers, on obtaining the military medal, a distinction which has been conferred on him for bravery in maintaining telegraph lines under fire in August last during the Somme offensive. Corporal Duggan was a clerk in the Waterford G.P.O. and joined up in September, 1914. He has been in France since June, 1915. He is a brother of Mr. Alfred Duggan, another popular G.P.0. official. and his many friends will be pleased to hear of the honour which has been bestowed on him.
