11. Display the right way
Make some alternative formats available as a matter of course in information displays. Large print and easy-to-read versions are particularly good for this because of their visual impact. Always provide information about what alternative formats are available, and how to get them.
Make sure that items on your noticeboards are, as far as possible, easy for everyone to see and read. This can be hard to achieve if you accept other organisations’ publicity materials and notices. Could you ask them to consider giving you information in clear print, at a minimum? Is there some other way you could devise to make sure that everyone has access to the notices on the board? Make sure, too, that the noticeboard is displayed in a location that is accessible, and easy to find.
