Documents relating to the Religious Society of Friends in Ireland are kept in the Friends Historical Library Dublin. Manuscript material includes minutes of meetings dating from the first settlements of Quakers in Ireland in the 17th century, together with certificates of births, marriages and deaths and extensive collections of letters, diaries, genealogical material and photographs. Printed matter includes books from the 17th century onwards, together with pamphlets and newspaper cuttings. Databases cover family details, disownments and removals. The Library is open to readers from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm on Thursdays. Genealogical and historical research can be undertaken by arrangement.
