Description of Layout
Layout of the book
The first point to make is Brunkers use of latin names for the plants. Sometimes he includes the common name where practical , but not in all entries. He believed latin names to be botanically accurate and necessary for identification. There are no illustrations or photographs in the work. An amateur or beginner would need to have an illustrated guide to plants at hand.
