Lough Gill
Lough Gill is located about 2 miles east of Sligo Town. It has 22 islands including one called Innisfree. This small lake island was imortalised in the poem 'The Lake Isle of Innisfree' by W.B. Yeats.

Lough Arrow
Lough Arrow lies fifteen miles south east of Sligo town. It is a favourite fishing spot for many people and is famous for the quality of its trout.

Lough Gara
Lough Gara is situated in the south of County Sligo. Many of the islands on the lake are man-made islands called Crannogs. These were lake houses built by people during the Iron Age.
