Allihies Copper Mine Museum
The Allihies Copper Mine Museum explores the mining of copper ore from ancient prehistoric times right up the 19th century in the West Cork area. The exhibits are interactive with videos and information that expain the technology involved, the geology of mining copper and type of people who worked in the mining industry. There is also a range of artefacts from the period including mining tools and equipment.
