This book traces the history of Ballinakill from its beginning in 1570 to the present day. It is the first official history of Ballinakill. It gives great insight into the social, economic and historical development of the town. The authors can be very proud of this fine publication.

Ger Dunphy is a native of Ballinakill, employed as a Geography and History teacher in Heywood Community School, Ballinakill.

Christy O'Shea has been synonymous with local history in Ballinakill all his life. Formerly employed in the Salesian College, he is presently enjoying his retirement.
