"A meeting of the Committee of Ramelton Fever Hospital was held, after regular notice in the Robertson School house on Saturday September 14th at 10.45 a m. The following members were present, viz., Sir H Stewart, J Mallin Esq., Mr C Kelly, Mr James Sweeney and Canon Tyler. Sir H Stewart having been [removed?] of the chair, the minutes of the former meeting were read and signed. The Secretary informed the Committee that the Warden gave him notice on Sept 2nd that she would leave her situation as Hospital Nurse on the 1st day of October. This resignation having been accepted with regret, the Secretary intended to advertise in the local newspapers as follows:
"Ramelton Fever Hospital; Nurse required. Salary to qualified person £20 and rations. Applications with testimonials to be sent to Canon Tyler by Sept 21st." A letter was read from the Clerk of the County Council stating that vacancies in this Committee will be filled by the Council and the Secretary was directed to notify the vacancy caused by the death of Mr Andy Gamble and to suggest Rev W D Wallace's name for consideration of the County Council."
