Minutes of the Feb 6th 1905 meeting of Ramelton Fever Hospital Committee. Included in the discussion was the granting of a rise in pay to the nurse in charge, the retention of a long-serving male attendant as a free patient, Dr Patterson’s wife’s Jumble sale, and the disposal of surplus beds.

" A meeting of the Governors was held at the Hospital on this date. Present, in the chair, Sir H Stewart Bart., Rev W D Wallace, Rev T Slevin, Mr C Kelly and Mr James Sweeney. The minutes of the previous meeting having been read and signed, the Hon. Secretary made a financial statement and also submitted a medical report from the Medical Officer, both of these being considered most satisfactory. The Nurse having applied for an increase of salary and Dr Patterson having given her an excellent recommendation, it was proposed by Mr Sweeney, seconded by the Rev T Slevin and passed unanimously that Miss A Warden's salary be increased to £18 dating from Jan 1st 1904. The old attendant A J Morrow having failed in health the following resolution was proposed by Fr Slevin, seconded by J Sweeney and passed that A J Morrow be retained in the Hospital for the present as a free patient. Mrs Patterson having kindly organised a Jumble Sale which added considerably to the Hospital Funds it was proposed by Fr Slevin, seconded by Mr J Sweeney and passed "that the Governors tender their grateful thanks to Mrs Patterson for her kindness. A number of old and useless beds having accumulated owing to the introduction of modern ones, Mr Wallace proposed a resolution which was seconded by Mr Sweeney and passed, authorising Dr Patterson and the Hon secretary (Mr Mitchell) to dispose of the surplus beds to the best advantage."
