Dunne's Diary
Seán wrote a column 'Dunne's Diary' each Saturday in the Weekend Examiner. In which he touched on everything from the importance of local papers; "they reflect local loyalties, factions and beliefs in a way that no other medium can except gossip" to a jibe at 'Cork snobbery' with what he termed "the Northside snob and the Southside snob".
He also reflected on the contentious issues of the day such as the abortion controversy, adult literacy and divorce. On April 25th 1992 he wrote; "There have been many good signs in Ireland over the past few years that we are becoming a livelier, more broad minded country, it would be a shame after all those steps forward were we were to take steps back".
