The Ireland Anthology edited by Seán Dunne includes a literary map of Ireland from the earliest times. In it Seán has chosen over 200 separate entries ranging from the work of poets and playwrights, historians and topographers to journalists and pop singers.

Terrence Killeen wrote a review of The Ireland Anthology in the Irish Times 20th November 1999; "Seán Dunne offers a culling of his incredibly wide reading. One particular pleasure of turning the pages is that you never know what is going to come next going from Giraldus Cambrensis to Shane McGowan. The work is a worthy memorial to a much missed poet and critic".

On 17th January 1998 Patrick Breen Catling wrote in the Irish Times; "The anthology serves as a memorial to the late Seán Dunne, the poet, autobiographer and literary editor of the Cork Examiner".
