In 2008, the Office of Public Works created a website on flooding, http://www.flooding.ie/en/. It outlines measures people can take to prepare for flooding and reduce the damage to properties, and also provides further important information for those affected.
Draft Regional Flood Risk Appraisa
In January 2010, a Draft Regional Flood Risk Appraisal for the Draft Regional Planning Guidelines for the West Region 2010-2022 was published. This draft makes recommendations regarding avoiding flooding and managing flood risk areas in the West region.
